About the Pieces

  • The Minuscule Cabinet is a collection of individually assembled miniature pieces, each one carefully sourced and hand-finished. Every item is unique; once it has found a home, it will not be reproduced in exactly the same form.

  • Yes, each piece is assembled individually using original vintage and antique postage stamps, meaning no two pieces are ever identical. While certain subjects or themes may reappear in future releases, each piece is its own thing: differently sourced, differently framed, and entirely singular.

  • Each piece is built around an original vintage or antique stamp, mounted and set within a wooden frame and non-reflective acrylic. As with all pieces made from aged materials, the stamps may show minor signs of wear, natural variation, and small imperfections are part of their character and are not considered faults.

  • Yes. Each piece arrives ready to hang straight away, with cord and hooks already fitted to the back.

  • es. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions. We take great care to represent each piece as accurately as possible, but vintage materials can look a little different in person. This is part of what makes them special.

  • Each piece is framed with non-reflective acrylic, which eliminates glare and makes for clear, easy viewing in most lighting conditions.

    As with all antique paper, original stamps are sensitive to prolonged UV exposure, and direct sunlight can cause colours to gradually fade over time. This is a natural characteristic of aged materials rather than a fault, but it is worth keeping in mind when choosing where to hang your piece. A spot away from direct sunlight will help it stay looking its best for years to come.

    Beyond that, a normal indoor environment is all that is needed. If dust settles on the acrylic, a soft dry cloth is all that is required; avoid anything abrasive.

Ordering

  • New pieces are released in small batches. Subscribers to the mailing list receive first access, with a window to purchase before pieces go on general sale. Join the list at the bottom of any page.

  • Pieces cannot be reserved, but subscribers to the mailing list are given first access to each new release before it opens to the public. Joining the list is the best way to secure the pieces you want.

  • Due to our quick dispatch turnaround, orders cannot be cancelled once placed. If you believe you have made an error, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@theminusculecabinet.com and we will do our best to help where we can.

  • Yes, absolutely. We can source the right piece for you, whether that is a particular subject, era, or aesthetic, and mount and frame it to suit. Please get in touch at hello@theminusculecabinet.com to discuss your brief.

  • If you have your eye on a sold piece, you can enter your email address on the product page and hit "Notify me of similar pieces" and we will be in touch when something comparable becomes available. Alternatively, drop us an email at hello@theminusculecabinet.com and we can work with you to source and frame something just right.

Shipping

  • We ship to the UK and internationally.

  • UK orders are shipped free of charge. International orders are shipped at a flat rate, calculated at checkout based on your destination.

  • No. All international orders are shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, meaning any applicable customs duties and import taxes are covered by us. You will not be asked to pay any additional charges upon delivery.

  • UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail on a tracked and signed express service. International orders are shipped via DHL Express, fully tracked and requiring a signature upon delivery.

  • Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking details so you can follow its progress.

Returns and Damage

  • Please contact us immediately upon receipt at hello@theminusculecabinet.com, with clear photographs of both the item and the packaging. Each case is reviewed individually and we will work with you to find an appropriate resolution.

  • Yes. You have the right to request a return within 14 days of delivery. The item must be returned in its original condition, unused, and in its original packaging, and received back within 14 days of your return request. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable. Full details are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

  • Commissioned pieces are created specifically to your brief and are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in the case of damage or fault.
